Major Research Focus & Interests

Dr. Ellison’s research is aimed at understanding the interactions between epithelial cells and the immune system, and how these interactions shape developing immune responses. Much of her work has been done using mouse models of graft-versus-host disease, a serious complication that may develop following allogeneic blood or bone marrow transplantation.
