Dr. Klassen received his medical degree from the University of Manitoba, and his MSc in Clinical Epidemiology from McMaster Univeristy.  In addition to being the CEO and Scientific Director of the Manitoba Institute of Child Health, he is also the Associate Dean, Academic for the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Manitoba, and a Professor and Director of Research in the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health at the University of Manitoba. 

Facility Management and Administrative Support

Nichola is responsible for the physical operations of the Institute ranging from space assignments, facility access, tours, budgeting and equipment requests. Coordinating her efforts with the Administrative Assistant, she ensures our researchers have the specialized tools and world-class facilities needed to achieve their child health research goals.

Kelly is responsible for the operational aspects of the institute including human resources, governance, strategic planing, grants and awards competitions, budgeting and MICH membership.

Christa is responsible for providing confidential executive-level administrative support to the Director of Research as well as facilitating, organizing and scheduling related committee meetings.

Christina offers assistance and support in the areas of human resources and finance; including payroll assistance, accounts payable and receivable, financial reports and grants administration.

Debbie oversees and manages the Institute’s front lines, coordinating several aspects including: incoming inquiries, room bookings, logistics, inventory control, catering requests, and coordinates workshops, conferences and special events.

Rasheda Rabbani, Biostatistician

Dr. Rabbani has a PhD in Statistics and EconomicsRasheda and assists the Institute’s researchers in the development of statistical methodology for grant submission, statistical analysis, and interpretation of statistical results. Rahseda offers workshops on various statistical software and practical use of methods of statistics.
