Our clinical facility resources at the Manitoba Institute of Child Health include the following:

• Patient examination rooms
• The Clinical Research Unit (CRU) who can facilitate clinical research and includes onsite nurses to assist with clinical trials
• Dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) scanner

Our clinical research services are set to expand to newly developed space in 2010 and will include a large patient and family waiting room, children’s play area, family kitchen and additional examination, interview, and observational rooms. Among other benefits, this new space will offer families and children participating in research added comforts to make their experience as friendly and accommodating as possible.
